What Are The Tests?

The Neuro Visual Tests are specialized assessments that evaluates how the brain and eyes work together to process visual information. It goes beyond standard eye exams by detecting hidden vision problems that may impact reading, learning, balance, and overall cognitive function.

Eye Tracking & Coordination Tests

Eye tracking and coordination are about how well your eyes move together, follow things, and focus smoothly. Think of it as your eyes being a team, working to "lock on" to whatever you're looking at, whether it's a moving ball or words on a page. These skills are more than just having clear vision; they're about how your eyes actually work.

These abilities are vital for everyday life. They help you **read** by letting your eyes glide across words, play **sports** by tracking a fast-moving object, and **drive** safely by keeping an eye on the road and other cars. Even simple tasks like pouring a drink or catching something tossed to you rely on good eye tracking. When these skills aren't strong, these everyday actions can become much harder.

Visual Acuity Tests

Visual Acuity refers to how clearly and sharply you can see objects at a certain distance. It’s what most people think of when they hear "20/20 vision."

Visual acuity measures how well the eyes can distinguish fine details—whether it’s reading letters on an eye chart, reading from the whiteboard, recognizing faces, or seeing road signs clearly.

Color Vision Testing

We offer quick and easy testing for common types of color blindness. Undetected color blindness can significantly impact learning, as students may struggle to differentiate between colors essential for understanding classroom materials.

For example, if a teacher refers to "the red part of the diagram" and a student perceives red and green as the same, they'll be unable to follow along effectively.

Convergence, Accommodation,
& Eye Teaming Tests

Convergence is when both your eyes turn inward to focus on a single point as it gets closer to you. Imagine looking at your finger as you bring it towards your nose – your eyes "cross" a little.

Accommodation is your eyes' ability to adjust their focus to keep things clear as they move closer or farther away. These two skills work hand-in-hand to ensure you see close-up objects clearly and as a single image.

When eye teaming (also called binocular vision) isn't working well, it means your two eyes aren't coordinating as a single unit. This can lead to issues like blurry or double vision, especially when reading or using screens, and even make it hard to judge how far away things are (depth perception). It's like trying to see with two different cameras that aren't quite pointed at the same spot.
